SAXS data sets were collected on ApSOD protein samples at 2, 4, and 6 mg/ml concentrations in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) at 25 °C at the Advanced Light Source SIBYLS beamline 12.3.1 using a MAR CCD 165 detector as detailed elsewhere.52

The Guinier plot is used to estimate the radius of gyration, Rg, which is taken from the slope of a line observed at low scattering angles (typically in the range where q* Rg < 1.3). This should be in reasonable agreement with the real space Rg.
